About Our Farm
Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard is proud to grow and sell our own turkey fresh for Thanksgiving!
We raise these turkeys on our land and feed them with the extra veggies and apples that we grow.
Starting as day old birds, we raise two groups of turkey so we have varying sizes come November.
Here are some quick facts about our turkeys:
Heritage Breed - Broad Breasted Bronze
Vegetarian Fed and Antibiotic/Hormone FREE
Range in size from 17 lbs. - over 28 lbs.
There is less fat so they naturally cook faster!
How to Reserve a Turkey:
To reserve a turkey, you can call our store or sign-up in person. There is a $25 deposit required at the time of sign-up.
We ask that you choose a size range when ordering, range 1 (15-19lbs) or range 2 (20-25lbs).
If you wish to order a turkey larger than 25 lbs, please ask us!
Turkey pricing is $5.50/lb.
You must specify the date you wish to pick up your turkey. This can be the Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving.
Since we raise our own turkey and allow them to eat and roam as they please, it is impossible for us to determine their weight until they are ready for you to take home. We ask that you reserve your turkey in a weight range and specify the ideal weight when you pick up.
Need dessert? We offer the options to order pies and pumpkin cheesecake for thanksgiving!
10" Pie Options (prices vary):
Apple, Dutch Apple, Pumpkin, Colonial Apple, Pecan, Fruit of the Farm, Blueberry, and Cherry - crumb toppings may be available on certain pies.

How to Cook Our Turkeys!
We suggest the turkey being room temperature before cooking!
Please note cook times are only a guideline based on the temperatures listed below:
15-20lbs – 2 to 3hrs
21-25lbs – 3 to 3 ½ hrs
25-30lbs – 3 ½ to 4 ½ hrs
30lbs+ - 4 ½ to 5 ½ hrs
1. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Cover turkey with foil and cook at 325 degrees for an hour.
3. Lower heat to 300 degrees and check temperature accordingly to size.
4. When turkey reaches 160 degrees, uncover with foil and let cook to 165 degrees.
5. Let turkey rest before carving!
** Cook time will vary depending if turkey is stuffed**
Cook turkey with onions, celery and carrots with some broth to keep moisture in and to make a delicious gravy afterwards!
